As the “Front Door” of the Community, the Chamber welcomes newcomers, visitors and others making inquiries about the community.

The overall objective of the Ocilla/Irwin County Chamber of Commerce is to assure progressive, orderly, community development; effective government at all levels; and to maintain a high climate for a sound expanding economy.

We are a voluntary county-wide association of leaders and citizens working together to improve the economic well-being of Ocilla and Irwin County. We realize that we can accomplish collectively what no one can do individually. The strength of the chamber lies in attracting the greatest number of members from which ideas, energy and finances can be drawn. These resources are used to solve problems of business management in the area market place.

What makes a community a wonderful place in which to live? Good neighborhoods? Quality schools and health care?

These are several reasons that we know that Ocilla and Irwin County have life at its best. We are dedicated to preserving and enriching the quality of life which makes our community special. Our civic organizations work hard to support our community and to respond to its needs and concerns.

We put a high emphasis on education and preparing children to move from school into the workplace. The Irwin County Board of Education partners with many organizations and businesses to enhance learning.

We are serious about business and we are determined to provide an economic base to support our population. We are eager to see local businesses grow and for new businesses to arrive.
