The Ocilla-Irwin Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of Gina’s Salon on Friday, April 29.

The new Ocilla business, located at 111 South Beech Street, is owned and operated by Gina Collins and offers a complete array of cosmetology services including color, cuts, stylings, updos for special events, acrylic and gel nails, manicures, pedicures and waxing. “We can do it all,” Collins said, “anyting to do with skin, hair and nails.”

Collins’ business is housed in the former location of Ruthann’s Beauty Salon, which was operated for many years by her grandmother, Ruthann Harper and her aunt Annita Clark. Though this is her first business venture, Collins has 15 years experience in the cosmetology field and has a master cosmetology license. She is assisted at Gina’s Salon by stylist Lakin Boykin. Hours of operation are Tuesday-Saturday 10 am to 7 pm with later hours by appointment.
